Who can benefit from the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle?

Every homeowner in Australia who is eligible for sonnenFlat and buys a new sonnenBatterie. You’ll need a solar system of at least 5 kWp with a new sonnenBatterie of at least 10 kWh capacity. Check your eligibility for sonnenFlat on sonnen.com.au/sonnenflat-terms-conditions/

The offer is not available for sonnenBatteries purchased before the start of the promotion or for purchases made prior to signing up for the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle.  Each voucher is valid for one order only, regardless of the number of batteries purchased.

How do I sign up for the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle?

That’s super easy. Just fill out the registration form on sonnen.com.au/energybundle. We’ll send you an email with your unique voucher code worth 1,000 AUD. We explain the rest of the process on the landing page, as well as in the communication you receive from us via mail and through our product consultants.

Do I have to sign up for sonnenFlat to claim the discount?

Yes, all customers who receive 1000 AUD off their new sonnenBatterie purchase will sign up for sonnenFlat and thereby change from their existing electricity retailer to sonnen eServices.

Upon registration sonnen will send you a unique voucher code to claim your discount, which is valid for 60 days. The voucher is not transferrable. There is a 3 month minimum contract period for sonnenFlat from the date of activation. If you terminate early you will have to pay the membership period for the minimum contract period.

Where do I sign up for sonnenFlat?

Sign up for the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle at sonnen.com.au/energybundle and we will guide you through the steps. You will not need to sign up separately for sonnenFlat.

How do I claim the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle discount?

After you have signed up at sonnen.com.au/energybundle and received your voucher code, you must present the voucher code to a participating solar retailer offering you the sonnenBatterie and complete your sonnenBatterie purchase within 60 days. They will deduct the value of the voucher from your sonnenBatterie purchase. After you received the unique voucher code via email, print the email and hand it in with one of sonnen’s approved sellers. The sonnen seller will quote your sonnenBatterie and deduct the value of the voucher.

Who can offer me the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle?

Any sonnen-approved solar retailer participating in the promotion. If you don’t know if your preferred solar retailer offers sonnen or the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle, give us a call on 13 76 66 or send us an email via customerservice@sonnen.com.au and we’ll sort it out for you.

The solar retailer of my choice does not know about the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle. What do I do?

That's no problem! We are happy to contact your preferred solar retailer and get them on board. Please contact us via 13 76 66 or send us an email via customerservice@sonnen.com.au.

My house is not built yet but I want to get the sonnenFlat Energy Bundle. Can I still get the discount?

Of course you can. We provide you with 60 days from issue of voucher to buy the sonnenBatterie. We do understand however, that the period of time between purchase and installation can vary for each customer, so there is no constraint on an installation time frame. Just make sure you sign up for sonnenFlat Energy Bundle before the promotion period ends, in order for you to receive the voucher code, on sonnen.com.au/energybundle. You then have 60 days from issue of voucher to buy the sonnenBatterie.

I have not yet moved into the house I want the sonnenBatterie for. Can I still get the discount?

Of course you can. We provide you with 60 days from issue of voucher to buy the sonnenBatterie. The Energy Bundle discount is only valid for new sonnenBatteries purchased within 60 days of issue of voucher. The earliest voucher codes will be issued from 3 June 2019.

What’s the minimum period to stay on sonnenFlat?

We believe in our products and are confident that sonnenFlat is the best energy retail offer for you. We only ask that you stay with us for 3 months so you can see the benefits yourself!

Will the monthly membership fee go up after the first 12 months?

We are always giving you the best price possible, but sonnen reserves the right to update prices as necessary. If we have to update prices, we will provide due notice to our customers.

How will I know if I have exceeded my annual energy allowance?

Transparency is important. You can check your consumption by logging into your sonnenBatterie portal. Your monthly sonnenFlat invoices will also show your grid consumption.

How does sonnen invoice the excess energy used outside the annual allowance?

If you exceed your Annual Usage Allowance, the excess usage rate will apply only to the energy consumption from the grid. We are always looking out for the best cost-structure and offer a rate that is competitive in every network. Eventually, excess usage rates vary for every network. When do I see any excess usage charges and solar feed in credits?

Any excess usage and solar feed in credit will be calculated and added to your account at your 12 month anniversary.

How long does it take for me to transfer from my old energy retailer to sonnenFlat?

Switching energy retailers to sonnen eServices can be as quick as a few days! Delays can be caused for customers with out-of-date meters, or lock-in contracts with their current retailer.
