Northern Territory Home and Business Battery Scheme

If you're a Northern Territory homeowner, business, not-for-profit or community organisation, you could be eligible for a battery rebate to purchase and install a home battery storage system.

Introducing the Home and Business Battery Scheme

The Home and Business Battery Scheme supports the Northern Territory Government’s plan for 50 percent renewable energy by 2030. As part of this plan, the Territory has introduced the Scheme for home and business owners who can apply for a grant to install a rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system including a home battery, or add solar battery storage to an existing PV system.

Eligible homeowners and businesses can access a grant of $400 per kilowatt hour of useable battery system capacity, up to a maximum grant of $5,000.
